چکیده
Gastrointestinal episodes associated with Vibrio species have been rising worldwide in the last few years. In this study, toxicities of two very well characterized V. fluvialis and furnissii strains, isolated from environmental samples, were used to investigate comparative pathogenicity these strains. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between toxin production as high interspecies correlation. analysis toxicity, both close similarity cell death on BHK-21 line destruction RBC, which indicative cytotoxic hemolytic activity, respectively. Besides, molecular absence ctx, tdh, trh, stx1 stx2 genes. On other hand, reduced fluid accumulation ratio rabbit ileal loop assay paralysis hind legs Swiss Albino mice observed for furnissi strain, indicates differences species.

Vibrio fluvialis and Vibrio furnissii isolated from a stool sample of one patient.
Vibrio fluvialis and Vibrio furnissii have been associated with diarrhea but have rarely been isolated in the United States. We received strains of V. fluvialis and V. furnissii that were isolated from the stool of a 1-month-old baby. A description of these two strains and the case history of the patient are given in this report.
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences of Vibrio fluvialis Strains 560 and 539, Isolated from Environmental Samples
Vibrio fluvialis is a halophilic bacterium found in many environments and is mainly associated with sporadic cases and outbreaks of gastroenteritis in humans. Here, we describe the genome sequences of environmental strains of V. fluvialis 560 (Vf560) and V. fluvialis 539 (Vf539) possessing a variant of the integrative and conjugative element (ICE) SXT for the first time in Brazil and South Amer...
متن کاملVibrio furnissii (formerly aerogenic biogroup of Vibrio fluvialis), a new species isolated from human feces and the environment.
Strains formerly classified as the aerogenic (gas-producing) biogroup of Vibrio fluvialis were shown by DNA relatedness to be a separate species. The species was named Vibrio furnissii sp. nov. (type strain ATCC 35016 = CDC B3215). Three strains of V. furnissii were 79% or more related to the type strain of V. furnissii and about 50% related to the type strain of V. fluvialis. V. fluvialis stra...
متن کاملCarbapenem Resistance in Clonally Distinct Clinical Strains of Vibrio fluvialis Isolated from Diarrheal Samples
Carbapenems have been used for many years to treat severe nosocomial Enterobacteriaceae infections. The spread of resistance to these drugs among other bacterial families is an emerging problem worldwide, mostly caused by New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase (NDM-1). We screened for the prevalence of NDM-1-expressing enteric pathogens from hospitalized patients with acute diarrhea in Kolkata, India, a...
متن کاملAntibiotic resistance pattern of some Vibrio strains isolated
The present study was aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial resistance and the presence of antibiotic resistance genes in Vibrios spp. isolated from seafood. A total of 72 isolates of Vibrio in 6 species including V. parahaemolyticus, V. vulnificus, V. alginolyticus, V. harveyi, V. mimicus and V. cholerae were examined. The results revealed that all isolates were expressing multiple an...
